Hip arthroscopy in a 13 year old soccer player

History and Evaluation: 13 year old female with 2 year history of left hip pain. Pain started while playing soccer. Patient reports locking and popping in her hip. Imaging shows impingement and labral tear.

Hip arthroscopy pre-op

Treatment: Left hip arthroscopy with labral repair and osteochondroplasty of the head/neck junction to remove head/neck deformity.

Hip arthroscopy post-op

Outcome: Six months post surgery patient has returned to soccer and unrestricted activity
