Hip arthroscopy in an 18 year old hockey goalie with femoracetabular impingement and labral tear

Treatment:   Despite mild acetabuar dysplasia on x-rays, the dominant diagnosis was thought to be femoroacetabular impingement. Therefore, the patient was treated by hip arthroscopy with femoral head/neck osteochondroplasty and labral repair.

Outcomes:  The patient has had both hips treated. He has no hip pain, an excellent clinical result, and has returned to hockey without limitations.
