PAO surgery in collegiate swimmer after 2 previous failed hip arthroscopies

History and Evaluation: 20 year old female collegiate swimmer with history of 2 years of left hip pain. Patient has had 2 previous hip arthroscopies with labral debridement at outside facility. X Rays demonstrate mild bilateral hip dysplasia and head/neck deformity.

Treatment: Left hip PAO with osteochondroplasty of the head/neck junction.

Outcome: One year after surgery patient is pleased with outcome and ready to schedule surgery on the right side.
